Job Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to the required destinations.
- Secure cargo during transport.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles as necessary.
- Plan routes and maintain records of trips, routes, and cargo.
- Follow driving rules and regulations as well as company policies.
- Monitor vehicle performance and condition, reporting any issues to maintenance personnel.
- Cooperate with other drivers and team members when necessary.
- Perform minor repairs on vehicles when needed.
- Proven experience as a truck driver in Abu Dhabi or another GCC country is a must.
- Excellent knowledge of safety rules and regulations on the road.
- Ability to read maps correctly and plan efficient routes for deliveries.
- Ability to lift heavy objects when loading/unloading cargo from vehicles.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the UAE authorities is essential for this role; experience operating larger trucks (such as 18-wheelers) may be beneficial but not essential.
This position offers a salary of AED 1100 per month, commensurate with experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, paid holidays etc.
