Driver Distribution & Delivery Job Abu Dhabi area,UAE/Dubai,Transportation

Main Function

Responsible for transporting materials to and from the company warehouse.

Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities Operational:

Adhere to ADVOC s policies and procedures for Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality and Food Safety, Sanitation & Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environment and waste management.

Supervise the helpers in loading the goods from Warehouse to the transporting vehicle.

Counting the quantity of goods loaded and tallying it against the Delivery Order Quantity (DOQ).

Safely transport the goods to the corresponding customer s warehouse.

Obtain the signature and stamp on Delivery Notes and Invoices from the customer after the delivery and offloading the goods to their warehouse.

Inspect damage, expired or returned goods and receive for transport back to the Company Warehouse upon the customer s request and approval of the Area Sales Manager.

Receive packaging material from suppliers and transport to the Company warehouse. Ensure that the Delivery Notes tally with the quantity and details of the stocks received and forward the document to the Purchasing Department via the Distribution Coordinator.

Update the Driver s Duty Report on the daily basis for monitoring locations travelled and timings for each delivery.

Conduct routine check-up of the vehicle before and after using. Report any suspected possible malfunction.

Assist in transporting employees or documents in case there is no available Administration Driver.

Cooperate with ADVOC with respect to any instructions and/or actions taken to protect its employees.

Report to immediate supervisor any situation which could possibly present a hazard.

Report all OSH related incidents and work-related injuries.

Job Requirements

Education:

Secondary education.

Training/ Certification:

Knowledge in handling heavy vehicle. Ability to apply quick defence driving techniques to avoid accidents.
Knowledge in different road routes and establishment locations as well as traffic rules and regulations.
Ability to communicate well with the customer representatives and maintaining good rapport.
Ability to handle tallying of goods and delivery documentations.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in the same field.
