Basic understanding of marine terminal operations and vessel/terminal interface.
Familiarity with vessel arrival, departure, berthing, mooring, cargo/terminal coordination, and marine traffic monitoring.
Awareness of safe vessel movement within the terminal and offshore area.
Ability to monitor and maintain records related to vessel movements, terminal activities, weather conditions, and operational status.
Exposure to SPM, jetty, berth, or offshore terminal operations would be an advantage.
Basic awareness of offshore operational requirements and coordination.
Understanding of weather monitoring and its impact on marine and offshore activities.
Exposure to helicopter and helideck operations, including related coordination activities, would be an advantage.
Ability to receive, record, communicate, and elevate operational information to the relevant supervisor.
Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements in a marine/offshore working environment.
Familiarity with safe work practices, risk assessments, toolbox talks, PTW, JSA/JHA, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures.
Awareness of the importance of reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and operational anomalies.
Basic understanding of emergency response arrangements applicable to marine and offshore operations.
Ability to maintain HSE-related records, inspection reports, checklists, and supporting documentation.
Demonstrated safety awareness and commitment to complying with company and Marine Department procedures.
Ability to prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and periodic operational reports.
Good document control and record-keeping skills, particularly for operational, inspection, and audit purposes.
Ability to coordinate information between Marine Operations, offshore personnel, vessels, contractors, and relevant departments.
Ability to multitask, prioritise activities, and work effectively in an operational environment.
Candidates with relevant marine, offshore, port, terminal, oil and gas, or maritime support experience would be strongly preferred, particularly where they can demonstrate practical exposure to the activities outlined above.
