Logistics Officer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: AED 6,000-8,000 per month (depending on experience)

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments.
• Arrange transportation and ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
• Track shipments and provide regular delivery status updates.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and transport providers.

• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, and Bills of Lading.
• Coordinate with customs clearance agents for import and export shipments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations and shipping procedures.
• Maintain proper records of all shipment-related documentation.

• Coordinate with warehouse teams for receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Monitor stock movement and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure materials are delivered according to project or operational requirements.
• Follow up on pending deliveries and material shortages.

• Communicate with suppliers regarding order readiness, collection, and delivery schedules.
• Obtain and compare transportation and freight quotations.
• Negotiate competitive logistics rates with service providers.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve delivery-related issues.

• Plan and schedule local deliveries and material collections.
• Coordinate with drivers and transport companies.
• Ensure proper documentation and proof of delivery (POD).
• Optimize transportation costs and delivery routes.

• Maintain shipment tracking reports and delivery schedules.
• Update logistics records.
• Prepare daily and weekly logistics status reports.
• Report shipment delays, additional costs, and operational issues to management.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of UAE import/export procedures and customs documentation.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, suppliers, and transportation companies.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple shipments and meet tight deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
