Strengthen warehouse performance by evaluating existing procedures, introducing practical operational improvements and maintaining safe, compliant facilities. The Senior Specialist works across warehouse, transportation and logistics functions to improve service delivery and control operating costs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop warehouse operating strategies and procedures that reflect organizational priorities.
- Review warehouse performance measures, identify process weaknesses and implement corrective improvement plans.
- Improve inventory management, order processing, dispatch, receiving and shipping practices.
- Coordinate with transportation, logistics and other departments to resolve handoff problems and improve workflow continuity.
- Develop training programs for warehouse supervisors and employees covering safe work and operating procedures.
- Assess regulatory and safety compliance, recommend corrective actions and follow through on implementation.
- Review warehouse facilities and equipment maintenance requirements to support safe, reliable operations.
- Prepare warehouse budgets, monitor costs and identify feasible expenditure reductions.
- Evaluate supplier and vendor relationships and participate in contract negotiations when required.
- Monitor developments in warehouse technologies and operational methods, introducing suitable improvements.
Supervise assigned activities, allocate responsibilities and support the development of warehouse personnel. Implement approved company policies, systems and operating standards while contributing to departmental performance objectives. Identify ways to improve internal processes using relevant industry practices and maintain accurate management information and progress reporting.
Stakeholder CoordinationWork with the SVP Group Commercial Operations and Execution, division heads and colleagues across directorates to align warehouse operations with business needs. Engage suppliers and service providers on operating requirements and contract matters. Liaise with government representatives when clarification of warehouse-related regulations is needed.
HSE and SustainabilityFollow applicable health, safety, environmental and sustainability requirements, including ADNOC Codes of Practice. Support warehouse practices that protect personnel, equipment and operational continuity.
Ideal ProfileCandidates should demonstrate practical experience leading warehouse improvement initiatives, interpreting performance metrics, controlling budgets and coordinating inventory and fulfillment activities. The role requires the ability to work across departments, assess supplier performance and translate operational findings into workable changes.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor 's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field. A master 's degree is preferred.
ExperienceAt least 10 years of warehouse operations experience, including a minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.
Preferred CertificationsRelevant professional certifications in warehouse management, supply chain management or logistics.
