Year 4 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Accrington

Humly is recruiting a Year 4 Class Teacher to join a primary school on a maternity cover basis.

This is a full-time role starting 20th April 2026 and continuing until 24th July 2026. The role would suit a qualified teacher seeking a temporary Key Stage 2 position, providing continuity and consistency within the classroom.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons to Year 4 pupils across the curriculum
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support where needed
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils, including those with additional learning requirements
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and support school initiatives

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Non-AWR: £120+ per day

AWR (from week 13): £168.80 - £232.57 per day (M1 - M6)

• Enhanced DBS required (Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
• This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
