Summary

The Governors of Saint Mary’s RC Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate HLTA to join our team. The successful candidate will be classroom based focusing on interventions and covering the class teacher's PPA.

We are looking for a HLTA who:

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with children in KS2
  • Commitment to undertake in–service development
  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people
Desirable Qualifications
  • First Aid
Essential Experience
  • Ability to support and enhance children's learning in a KS2 classroom
  • Experience of planning, teaching and delivering lessons

    Ability to relate well to children and to parents/carers
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to supervise and assist pupils
  • Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
Desirable Experience
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs
  • Experience of supporting the ethos and mission statement in a Catholic school
