Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a primary school in Bury that is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where you'll play a key role in helping pupils thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you'll provide valuable classroom support while helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Role- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small intervention groups to support learning and development.
- Provide additional support for children with SEND, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
- Assist with preparing learning materials and maintaining an organised classroom.
- Observe pupil progress and communicate feedback to teaching staff.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Help supervise pupils during break times, school trips, and other activities when required.
- Promote safeguarding and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant classroom experience.
- Previous experience supporting children within a UK primary school.
- Knowledge or experience of working with pupils with SEND (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
- The ability to use initiative and adapt to the needs of pupils and the school.
