Location:
On‑site in Accrington
Our client is a leading engineering organisation delivering advanced, custom‑built machinery across multiple industries. They are looking for a Systems Engineer to design, integrate and optimise complex electromechanical systems, working across mechanical, electrical, control and software disciplines.

What You'll Do
Develop system architectures and translate customer requirements into technical designs.
Define subsystem interfaces and support full mechanical‑electrical‑software integration.
Lead system analysis, feasibility work, risk assessments and design reviews.
Produce and maintain FDS documents, control philosophies and test plans.
Support machine build, FAT/SAT, commissioning and customer interactions.
Diagnose system‑level issues and drive engineering improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and support documentation for manuals.
What We're Looking For
Experience with complex electromechanical systems or bespoke machinery.
Strong understanding of automation, PLCs, sensors, motion control and industrial networks.
Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and system documentation.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and cross‑functional communication skills.
Knowledge of safety standards (CE/Machinery Directive/EN ISO 13849) is a plus.
Familiarity with Siemens PLCs and CAD/CAE tools is beneficial.
