Location:
Bristol Salary: £53,000 - £63,000 per annum 7.5% annual bonus
Hours:
Monday to Friday, core office hours with an early finish at 1:00pm every Friday Hybrid Working Available Outsource UK are recruiting a Lead Controls Engineer Outsource UK is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business for an experienced Lead Controls Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a controls engineering professional to take on a leadership role, guiding a team of engineers while driving the design, development, implementation, and support of advanced control systems.
Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Controls Engineers, setting clear objectives and priorities. Drive the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of control systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems within wider projects. Ensure all control systems meet required performance standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements through robust testing and validation. Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for complex control system issues.
Support and develop junior engineers through coaching and mentoring. Engage with customers to understand requirements and provide technical guidance and support. Stay current with emerging control systems technologies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You:
HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline Strong PLC programming experience HMI programming experience using or other high-level programming languages. Experience producing technical documentation. Strong communication skills with a good level of spoken and written English. Previous experience within controls and software engineering in a relevant industrial environment. Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus TCP and Ether
