Engineering Goods in Team Leader

Our client is a medium sized engineering firm who are looking to recruit a goods in team leader to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Good Inwards/booking in of all items raw materials.

* Booking in of all subcontract machined parts prior to final inspection.

* Sawing of all raw materials as specified on planning route cards.

* Stage inspection of bought out fabricated parts.

* Control of material stock levels & reporting shortages to planning team.

* Moving of raw materials with documentation to machining departments.

* Unloading of raw material wagons when required using forklift truck.

* Moving raw material bars using overhead crane.

* Pressure testing of rollers using test rig when required & recording data (Training will be given)

* To help improve safety, quality and productivity through the continual improvement process.

* To follow written instructions, safe working practices and to always maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

* To be able to use a computer for stock control, timesheets & emails.

* Evidence of training in safe use of overhead cranes & forklift truck essential.

* To be able to use measuring equipment for cutting raw materials using power saws.

* To be able to read engineering drawings would be an advantage.

36 hours per week Mon – Thurs 6am – 3.30pm
