Our client is a well-established and growing precision engineering and manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and investment in modern machining technology. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Milling Operator / Setter / Programmer to join their skilled production team.
The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated CNC professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines while ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety are maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC milling machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Program CNC machines (online and offline) where required
- Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to optimise performance
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and safety checks
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- CNC programming experience (Fanuc, Haas or similar controls)
- Experience using Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software
- Knowledge of a variety of materials and machining techniques
- Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a driven team culture
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 1:15pm
- Monday to Wednesday: 10:00pm - 6:15am
- Thursday: 10:00pm - 6:00am
Night shift attracts a 30% shift premium.
Overtime- Time and a half paid for standard overtime hours
