Location: Altham

We are seeking a highly motivated Aerospace Industrial Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role will play a key part in improving production performance across machining and assembly operations, with a particular focus on CNC machining processes, manufacturing efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes across machining and production environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and industrial engineering techniques.
  • Evaluate and improve CNC machining operations, including machine utilisation, cycle times, set up reduction, tooling performance, and workflow efficiency.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analysis and production planning activities to support manufacturing objectives.
  • Support CNC machining cells by identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to increase throughput and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with CNC programmers and Manufacturing Engineers to improve machining strategies and maximise machine productivity.
  • Review manufacturing routes, process plans and machining methods to ensure requirements, and health and safety regulations.
Skills And Requirements
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with in aerospace, precision machining, defence or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, including milling, turning, multi-axis machining, and production planning.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process optimisation, capacity planning and workflow analysis.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and process specifications.
