Staff Nurse - Pre Op Assessment

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, committed, hardworking, and highly motivated Registered Nurses (RN) or Operating Department Practitioners (ODP) to join our Central pre‑operative assessment team at ELHT.

• Plan, investigate and ensure patients receive safe, personal and effective care throughout their assessment while maintaining high standards.
• Act as patient advocate and provide nursing leadership, support and contribute to high standards.
• Assess and evaluate patients' suitability for various forms of anaesthesia and identify areas for improvement in patient health.
• Work autonomously and effectively alongside a wide range of professionals.
• Cross‑site working between Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑6 pm, with flexibility to support capacity.
