Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join a forward-thinking and supportive GP Practice in Accrington, Lancashire.

Salary: £57,528 - £64,750 per year + bonus and excellent benefits.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ANP or ACP looking for a permanent Primary Care position with excellent clinical support, protected training, mentoring and genuine opportunities for professional development.

The ANP / ACP Role

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will work autonomously while being fully supported by the wider clinical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients
  • Managing acute and minor illness
  • Independent prescribing and medication management
  • Managing patients with long-term conditions
  • Requesting and interpreting appropriate investigations
  • Making referrals where required
  • Working closely with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting elderly and vulnerable patients
  • Providing high-quality, patient-centred care
Requirements To be considered for this ANP / ACP position, you should have:
  • NMC registration for nursing applicants
  • Master's degree / Master's-level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice
  • Independent Prescribing qualification
  • Experience working autonomously at Advanced Practitioner level
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Experience with in General Practice, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Walk-in Centres or a similar autonomous clinical setting would be highly desirable.
