Unit Catering Supervisor (Grade
3)

Location: St Paul's Primary, Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, England.

Salary: £24,796 – £25,185 (per annum).

Contract: Permanent, Part-time, 22.5 hours per week, Term time only, Variable hours. Cleaning days provided during school closure.

Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving more than 60,000 school meals per day. As a Unit Catering Supervisor you will work as part of the St Paul’s Primary team, delivering high‑quality, healthy and balanced meals to school children.

• Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
• Direct and/or supervise other staff.
• Order supplies and manage store deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records and control stock levels.

• Recognised catering qualification and/or food hygiene certificate (desirable).
• Experience catering to large numbers of people (desirable).
• Commitment to delivering safe, nutritious food in a school environment.

• Monday to Friday, term time only.
• Additional cleaning days during school closures.

The position is covered under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
