JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Landscape Construction Assistant Project Managerisresponsibleforhavingafullunderstandingoftheprojectandassists Project Managersincoordinatingandorganizingtheproject .Thispositionwouldassistinensuringtheworkiscompletedsafely,onschedule,within budget,andtothequalityofworkmanshipspecified.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support Project Managerswithdailyprojectorganizationanddocumentation .
• Review plans,specifications,elevations,grades,andconstructiondetails.
• Trackprojectquantities,production,materials,trucking,and equipment.
• Maintaindailyreports,project documentation,photographs,andfieldrecords.
• Assistwithquantitytakeoffs,change orders,andprojectcosttracking.
• Coordinatewithsubcontractors,vendors,andprojectteams.
• Participateinprojectmeetingsandassistwithschedulingandcoordination.
• Assistinsourcing,tagging(asneeded),pricing,andprocuringplantandhardscapematerialforprojects.
• Assistinreviewing,codingandapprovingvendorandsubcontractorinvoicesweeklyusingcompanyprojectmanagementsoftware.
• Sendout
  
  SubmittalsandRFI’sasneededtoarchitectasquestions/discrepanciesariseontheproject.
• AssistinpreparationofmonthlyAIAinvoicesbasedonworkcompleted.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thoroughunderstandingofplantspeciesidentificationandknowledgeofplantvarieties.
• Abilitytoreaddrawings,plansandengineeringspecifications.
• Knowledgeofconstructionprocedures,equipment operation,andcurrentOSHAsafetystandards.
• Excellent organizational,time management,andcommunicationskills.
• Abletocommunicateeffectivelywithsub-contractors,clients,architects,and management.
• Abilitytouse Microsoft Officesuiteandknowledgeofconstructiontrackingsoftwarepreferred .
• Comfortableworkinginateamenvironment.

Education and

Experience:

• Bachelor’sdegreewith1to3yearslandscapeexperienceor
  
  Highschooldiploma(or equivalent).and2+yearsoflandscapeprojectmanagementexperience.
• Experience with
  
  BluebeamorsimilarPDFviewer/editingsoftwareispreferred.
• Valid driver'slicenseandacleandrivingrecord.
• OSHAcertification.
• DOT Medical
  
  Certificate.

Physical Requirements:

• Abilitytoworkinbothanofficeandactiveconstructionenvironment.
• Abilitytotraveltojobsitesasrequired.
• Abilitytowalkactiveconstructionsitesandnavigateuneventerrain,stairs,andvaryingweatherconditions.
• Mustbeabletowearrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE) whenvisitingjobsites.
• Mustbeabletoliftandmoveupto
  50pounds.
• Mustbeabletostoop,kneel,crouch,reach,andstand.
