Project Engineer
We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in the development of advanced systems and technologies. This role supports complex programs involving system design, integration, testing, and performance verification across mission‑critical applications.
Responsibilities- Lead engineering planning and execution across design, development, integration, and verification phases.
- Manage cross‑functional teams, including internal staff and subcontractors, to meet technical, schedule, and budget goals.
- Coordinate with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Drive systems engineering processes and lead milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
- Support development of technical documentation, specifications, and interface control documents.
- Oversee engineering inputs to program schedules and resource planning.
- Represent engineering efforts in customer meetings, internal reviews, and proposal development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in engineering project execution within space, defense, or aerospace domains.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements flow‑down, and verification/validation processes.
- Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers in complex development efforts.
- Familiarity with PLM tools (e.g., Windchill), requirements management systems, and DoD lifecycle planning.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and technical presentation skills.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience with DoD or government programs strongly preferred.
