Medical Technologist

Overview

Acton Medical Associates, PC is a busy primary care practice for adult and pediatric medicine. We are seeking a full-time Medical Technologist to join our team.

This role focuses on processing specimens, performing tests, and accurately reporting results in Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology, as well as Phlebotomy as needed.

Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $25.00/hr

• Follow proper procedures for specimen handling and processing
• Accurately perform tests
• Adhere to lab quality control policies
• Perform instrument calibrations and maintenance as needed
• Accurately report patient test results with proper documentation
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting, and correct or report them via appropriate channels
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality laws and company guidelines
• Work independently, operate sophisticated equipment, solve problems, and know when to ask for assistance

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science
• OR Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
• MT (ASCP) registration or equivalent
• One to two years clinical laboratory experience
• Fluent in English – ability to read and interpret instructions presented in written, oral, and diagram forms
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, units of measure, and dilutions
