Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. The role is based in Cartersville, GA.
Job SummaryPerform a variety of quality control tests on products to ensure they meet or exceed minimum requirements, conduct inspections on manufacturing lines, and support continuous quality improvement. Standard work week is 40 hours with occasional overtime. No travel required.
Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Perform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods per work instructions.
- Use dimensional measuring devices to ensure product meets job order specifications.
- Enter all test results into the Formulator database and manage documents.
- Communicate quality issues with affected departments.
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Participate in audits on a regular or as needed basis.
- Determine root causes of quality issues, identify and implement corrective actions.
- Assist external and internal quality audits.
- Assist production teams with process changes, quality plan documentation, and test requirement updates.
- Assist customer service and sales teams to respond to customer questions regarding product capability and limitations.
- Help drive continuous quality improvement and scrap reduction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate safe working practices and attention to detail.
- Follow CWT’s policies, procedures and processes.
- Good communication, organization and time‑management skills.
- Basic computer, mathematics and problem‑solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
- Use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers, calipers).
- Team player able to follow instructions from managers and peers.
- Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
- Willingness to learn and understand processes.
- Work independently.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Six months to one year related experience preferred.
Manufacturing environment with exposure to some odors. Use of viscometers, thermometers, power tools, scales, tape measure, titrators, forklift, radio, computer, mixers, calipers, spray machine, bandsaw, respirator with spray suit etc.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift or carry weights up to 10‑51+ lbs, push or pull 1‑51+ lbs, perform repetitive motions, bend or stoop, reach above shoulder level, drive automatic equipment, operate machinery or power tools, climb ladders, walk, stand, sit, work in extreme temperatures. Vision, hearing and dexterity are required.
Personal Protective Equipment- Eye and hearing protection at all times on the production floor.
- Safety toe shoes (steel/composite).
- Hi‑Vis vest or uniform.
- Spray suit.
- Gloves.
- Other PPE as defined by management.
