Production Team Lead
Position Summary
The Production Team Lead (TL) is primarily responsible for accurately kitting customer products in the kitting areas, which are used for product preparation and sortation. The TL may also be assigned tasks beyond normal kitting responsibilities and is accountable for the inventory pulled for each job or function.

- Set up and run a kitting line with one staffing associate while ensuring output and quality are maintained.
- Receive product from the shipping department and sign delivery notes.
- Create shipping packing slips.
- Process online orders.
- Unpack wallets to have them ready for kitting.
- Order material needed to perform the job.
- Train staffing associates on each step of the kitting process.
- Perform job setup from assembly instruction and product samples.
- Regularly pull samples from the build line to ensure the quality of the product kitted.
- Record job costing data and number of kits built.
- Provide feedback to the supervisor on ways to continuously improve processes.
- Operate a PC and navigate the WMS.
- Comply with all safety and health policies, procedures and practices; actively support safety improvement initiatives and use materials and equipment in a safe manner.
- Work overtime if needed.
- Support organizational goals and values.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma/GED or higher degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of basic math, counting and estimating.
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for up to 12 hours per day.
Must be able to supervise and effectively lead kitting teams of up to 8 people.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to stand or sit for extended periods, use hands, bend, lift up to 25-30 lbs or greater, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment involves heat/cold conditions and moderate noise; overtime may be required.
