About the RoleThe Mechanical Engineer will provide support to the operation and maintenance of the plant’s equipment and will create, implement, and monitor Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs. They will also be a part of the Amrize US Build4
Growth Program, an extensive 14‑month cement manufacturing learning and development program designed to provide new graduate engineers with foundational knowledge and experience on the main operational areas of our cement plants. This program is built on a blended learning approach including online learning, face‑to‑face sessions, on‑the‑job assignments, and projects.
- Work closely with equipment suppliers and plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
- Monitor reliability‑based systems, including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
- Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment.
- Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
- Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques.
- Support and guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of major equipment.
- Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
- Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners.
- Provide technical support, training and development for maintenance functions with a specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group.
- Commit to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.
- Field of Study (Preferred): Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.

Skills:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). - Travel Requirements: 5%.
- Additional Requirements: Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE") — including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
