American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care setting requiring an active PTA license and 1+ years of experience in LTC or Rehab.
Requirements- Active PTA license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- New grads considered if Level II clinical experience has been completed
- One reference required at time of consideration
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required
- Long Term Care facility within the Physical Therapy unit
- Day shift, 8 hours, Monday through Friday with flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 13-week assignment
- Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under PT supervision
- Administer manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices as part of treatment plans
- Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Document treatment and patient records in the electronic system per regulatory requirements
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
- Support and supervise PTA students under PT guidance
- Adhere to APTA and state practice standards and codes of conduct
- No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
