Provides direct respiratory care to patients based on physician orders, acting as a clinical resource for physicians and nursing staff. Acts as an advanced resource for respiratory therapy and performs assigned duties to support patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and therapies.
- Consult with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness.
- Utilize respiratory care devices and equipment appropriately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver quality care.
- Maintain compliance with licensure, certifications, and safety standards.
- Graduate from a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
- Current state licensure and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- NRBC-certified as RRT or CRT; PALS and ACLS certifications required for emergency roles.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience, critical care preferred.
- Physical capability to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
