Deliver specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
Key Duties- Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-assessment and readiness checks.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures; recognize and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed and manage related therapy.
- Provide post-procedure recovery care and ensure safe, appropriate patient status.
- Document nursing care and patient responses accurately and completely.
- Educate patients and families on care needs, procedures, and post-care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate care.
- Strong clinical nursing judgment for cardiac and geriatric patient populations.
- Proficiency in monitoring, medication administration, and IV therapy.
- Ability to respond effectively to physiological changes and potential complications.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and patient education skills.
