Cost Accountant – Manufacturing

We are seeking a Cost Accountant with experience in a manufacturing environment to support cost accounting, reporting, and operational decision‑making. This role focuses on analyzing production costs, yields, and variances to ensure accurate financial reporting and improved manufacturing efficiency.

$70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

• Maintain and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Track, calculate, and analyze production yields, scrap, and process losses.
• Perform cost and variance analysis and partner with operations to explain results.
• Support month‑end close activities, including inventory valuation and cost‑related journal entries.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and costing data within the ERP system.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to drive cost transparency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing yields, scrap, and efficiency metrics.
• Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information to operational teams.
