SUMMARY
Responsible for the creation, revision, and control of manufacturing and standard work documentation. Applying lean and six sigma tools to eliminate waste, improve quality, and create continuous flow in all areas of manufacturing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and drive process improvement projects for improved manufacturing processes.
- Develop, revise, and control manufacturing documentation such as visual aids, work instructions and standard work procedures.
- Product manage NPI (New Product) between Engineering, Programming, Production, Quality, Planning, and Customer Service. Facilitate meetings and milestones that are monitored on a weekly basis.
- Communicate technical issues to the customers.
- Works closely with operators to audit manufacturing documentation, machine programs and time standards to ensure data accuracy, process repeatability, and product quality is maintained.
- Use CAD software (Solid Works) to develop models or assemblies for in-process documentation.
- Use CAD software (Solid Works) to perform base level model analysis provided by customers.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to maintain Part information, Methods of manufacturing, and Bill of Materials.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to analyze data for scrap, and margin analysis.
- Performs other related duties assigned.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/industrial engineering preferred but not required based on experience.
- Experienced with CAD software (Solid Works preferred)
- Multi-tasker with manufacturing engineering background and strong problem-solving skills
- Experienced lean and six sigma methodologies and tools
- Read and understand blueprints and G.D&T. (ASME Y14.5-2009 standard)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with the team
- Self-motivated and able to accomplish a high level of work without supervision.
- Team player who works and communicates well with all members of a workgroup and /or other departments.
- Someone who proactively addresses concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting business.
- Someone who is personally committed to owning the outcome of identified results with a proven record of success and ownership when achieving goals.
