VMC Operator

Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a VMC Operator B for one of our clients in Addison, IL. This position is Temp to hire, however the client will consider direct hire.

Salary range: $/hour

Work Hours:

6-4:30 Mon through Friday. Must be able to work mandatory overtime Monday-Friday and two Saturdays per month.

• Fully capable to set up and operate any CNC Vertical Machining Center machine in the department.
• Will be capable of programming most parts in department.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Read process sheets, job folders, blueprints, and work instructions of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
• Maintain job folder integrity.
• Repair/adjust set-ups and tooling, troubleshoot nonconforming processes.
• Selects and installs preset tooling in machine in sequence specified on process sheet.
• Observe numerical displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
• Inspect first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Study job packet and organize materials for next run.
• Sets up and operates another machine.

Five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
