Title: Quality Control Supervisor
Location: Addison, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift, 5am-4pm
Compensation: $22-25/hr

OverviewThe Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading quality control activities and maintaining food safety and quality management systems within a food manufacturing environment. This role supports the Quality Assurance leadership team to ensure regulatory compliance and the consistent production of safe, high-quality products.
Job Duties- Oversee daily quality control operations related to food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance
- Support third-party and annual food safety audits, including SQF
- Assist with corrective and preventive actions related to food safety and quality deviations
- Implement and enforce food safety, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures
- Complete and review daily, weekly, and monthly quality monitoring documentation
- Maintain and support the HACCP food safety system, including annual reassessments and verification activities
- Oversee SSOPs, GMPs, and sanitation programs, including housekeeping and sanitation schedules
- Investigate food safety and quality incidents, including internal findings and customer complaints
- Verify compliance with pest control and foreign material control programs
- Support microbiological testing programs and results review
- Conduct internal facility audits and inspections
- Ensure specification and verification programs are followed in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with food safety and quality training for plant personnel
- Support investigation and response to product quality complaints, including documentation and corrective actions
- Train and support quality control staff as needed
- Demonstrate knowledge of Critical Control Points (CCPs) in a processing environment
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory inspection personnel
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Prior quality control or quality assurance experience in a food processing environment required; meat or protein industry experience preferred
- HACCP certification preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of USDA, FSIS, HACCP, SQF, GMP, SSOP, and food microbiology principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Meat Science, Biology, or a related field preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience leading or supervising employees in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
