ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.
SWD Inc., located in Addison, IL, is looking for an on‑site Dock Worker/Forklift Operator. This role is Monday‑Friday 12pm‑roughly 8:30pm starting at $18.75/hr (with overtime as required). Employees leave each day once the dock work for the day is completed.
Responsibilities- Accurately load and unload trucks with a lift truck, pallet jack, or two‑wheel dolly.
- Correctly weigh incoming material using a floor scale.
- Identify fasteners or products from the packing slips provided.
- Locate and ship outgoing material to the appropriate customers.
- Correctly package ups for shipping.
- Interact with customers and drivers in a courteous manner and complete appropriate documents and necessary paperwork.
- Some knowledge about shipping and receiving or a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with a sit‑down forklift or willingness to learn to drive a forklift.
- Availability to work weekends.
- Positions involve lifting up to 40lbs, standing and walking.
- SWD Inc. requires a pre‑employment background check, drug test and physical exam for all positions.
