Senior Accountant

Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will play a key part in supporting financial reporting, month-end close, and day-to-day accounting operations during an important transition period for the company. • Maintain the accounting records in Net Suite while also working cross-functionally with the accounts receivable and payable teams
• Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with compiling and preparing month-end financial statements for the management team, including variance analysis against prior period and budget.
• Review payroll entries and other recurring transactions for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Have the opportunity to grow into streamlining the consolidation process, prepare note disclosures for financial statements, and assisting with due diligence for financing.

• Experience with Net Suite or similar accounting software.
• Degree in finance or Accounting
• Looking for a candidate with 3-5 years' experience
• Experience with IFRS / US GAAP.
• Experience filing GST / PST / EHT / US Sales tax returns.

• Current or pending CPA designation.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping.
• Ability to work cross functionally with various team members
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with annual audits.
• Strong communication skills.
