Role Summary

Teammates in the Inbound Payment Center use a variety of systems to process client premium payments and refunds. Representatives update banking information, apply payments or refunds to policies, and manage client premium requests with strong communication skills via phone, email, and paper mailings. The role requires accurate 10‑key numeric typing and a detail‑oriented mindset.

A typical week includes processing payments in Mainframe (Traditional Life Insurance and Vantage), OnBase, and banking websites such as Clear Tran and the Bank User Interface. Representatives research issues, correct errors, and communicate findings to agents, clients, and internal customers.

Members work closely with internal customers in the Call Center, Document Management Systems, New Business, Underwriting, Contract Change, Contract & Licensing, Title, Outbound Payment Center (Disbursements & Taxes), and other areas.

Successful Representatives demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with high accuracy.

This position offers an onsite work schedule: office four (4) days per week during onsite core days (Monday‑Thursday). Core days may change with advance notification and manager discretion.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Accurately apply payments to customer policies and take additional steps when needed.
  • Research customer requests to ensure proper documentation and procedural protocols are followed.
  • Maintain exemplary communication with internal and external customers – friendly phone demeanor.
  • Use various reports to monitor and track individual activities, ensuring all accounts are balanced, cleared, and audit‑ready.
  • Assist leaders with problem resolution on escalated cases, including research, recommendations, and follow‑through with clients, agents, and colleagues.
  • Document procedures and communicate with teammates when assistance is needed.
  • Assist with Quality Assurance reviews.
  • Be a team player – assist with projects and special assignments as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1‑2 years of related experience in data processing or industry‑related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Well‑organized in a complex digital environment; comfortable toggling between multiple programs and screens.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in all settings.
  • Background check and fingerprinting required.
  • Overtime work may be required and requested on short notice.

Base Pay Range
:
The base pay range for this position is determined by prior experience, education, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside this range based on individual circumstances.

Additional Compensation and Benefits
:
The total compensation package may include medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k), paid time off, and discretionary incentive programs). At‑will employment is specified.
