Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst (Non-IT) to support large-scale operational documentation and knowledge transfer initiatives tied to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)–supported business functions.

This role is highly focused on process analysis, workflow mapping, SOP development, and knowledge transfer
, working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Payroll, HR, and other operational teams. This is a hands‑on, documentation‑heavy role ideal for someone who excels at translating how work actually gets done into clear, structured processes.

Key Responsibilities Business Process Analysis & Documentation
  • Analyze current-state business processes across Oracle-supported functions (Finance, Accounts Payable, Cash, Payroll, HRMS)
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and gaps in existing workflows
  • Document end-to-end processes, SOPs, and operational procedures
  • Translate complex business activities into clear, standardized documentation
  • Create and maintain process maps, procedural guides, and checklists
Knowledge Transfer & SOP Development
  • Participate in and document live knowledge-transfer sessions
  • Review recorded sessions and extract accurate process documentation
  • Identify missing steps or unclear processes and follow up with stakeholders
  • Build SOPs from scratch where documentation does not exist (notably Payroll)
Workflow Mapping & Tools
  • Develop workflows using provided Word templates
  • Create process flow diagrams, swim lanes, and handoff points (Visio preferred)
  • Maintain organized documentation repositories with version control
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Gather business requirements from stakeholders across operations, finance, HR, payroll, and related teams
  • Ask clarifying questions and demonstrate resourcefulness when information is incomplete
  • Clearly document process logic, decision points, and rationale
Process Improvement & Change Support
  • Recommend process improvements, standardization, and internal controls
  • Support SOP rollout, change management, and training initiatives
  • Potentially support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Business Process Analyst or Business Analyst (Non-IT)
  • Strong expertise in process documentation, SOP creation, and workflow mapping
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional written communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to accurately document processes from live and recorded sessions
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Comfortable working with limited or evolving documentation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) in a business or operational context
  • Exposure to Payroll, Finance, HR, or Accounts Payable processes
  • Visio experience for workflow diagrams
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement background
  • Prior IT exposure (helpful but not required)
Additional Notes
  • Some holidays (e.g., Memorial Day, July 4th) may require work due to planned system transfers or downtime
  • Contract is expected to last 6 months with strong potential for extension
