JOB DESCRIPTION: MANAGER OF LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
FLSA STAUS: EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: VP, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
WORK STATUS: FULL TIME
LOCATION: DALLAS, TX
Overview: Join our Learning and Development team, where every employee’s growth matters! We are dedicated to empowering our distributed workforce through effective knowledge transfer and collaboration. Our mission is to facilitate the exchange of insights between those with expertise and those eager to learn. As a dynamic and supportive team, we focus on continuous improvement while enjoying the process. You’ll initially oversee a team of two L&D Specialists, with the opportunity to shape and grow the function over time.
This role offers a hybrid work model, with a core requirement of three days a week on-site in our Addison office and the flexibility to work remotely on the other two days, with the option to work in-person on an as-needed basis.
Key Duties:
- Assist in the design and delivery of various training programs for new hires and existing team.
- Support the development and maintenance of e-learning courses and materials.
- Collaborate with team members to assess training needs and identify skill gaps.
- Evaluate learner performance through assessments and feedback.
- Help facilitate engaging training sessions in both virtual and in-person formats.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Provide administrative support for Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training tools.
- Contribute to the enhancement of existing training programs based on feedback and evaluations.
- Research industry trends to inform the development of innovative training solutions.
- Assist in coordinating seminars, workshops, and other learning events.
- Travel to various airports on a monthly basis to conduct trainings or observe.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, training, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a learning and development or training role.
- 2-3 years Management experience leading a team
- Familiarity with eLearning development tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with subject matter experts.
- Understanding of learning principles and training methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Must pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline and/or company regulations.
Required Software and Tools Experience:
- Familiarity with next-generation LMS platforms aligned with strategic goals, including AI-enabled learning capabilities.
- Virtual webinar programs such as Zoom or similarapplications.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work model with 3 in-office days per week.
- Approximately 25% travel will be required (US only).
