We are looking for a Substitute Teacher Coordinator. This person is responsible for coordinating with and scheduling personnel to substitute for TCA faculty as needed. This position will work closely with school administrators, school office personnel, faculty and the Human Resources department to ensure classes are appropriately staffed with optimal personnel when teachers are taking time off work. The Substitute Teacher Coordinator will primarily work remotely.

General & Administrative Responsibilities

• Assist TCA Human Resources personnel in interviewing and training substitute teachers
• Availability to receive phone calls on weekdays beginning as early as 6 a.m. as well as throughout the school day is required
• Receive teacher requests for time off via Paycom’sHuman Resources Information System(HRIS), email, text, or phone call
• Availability to timely respond to emails/texts/voicemails/phone calls intermittently on weekdays as well as on Sunday afternoon sis required
• Provide reports to heads of school, administrative assistants, and the technology department regarding time off requests
• Identify optimal personnel to fill in for teachers as time off is requested
• Communicate with teachers to gain an understanding of the required skill set for substitute teachers
• Contact substitute teachers via phone/text/email to confirm availability to fill a classroom duty
• Schedule substitute teachers per optimal fit on skill set and availability
• Utilize the Paycom
  
  HRISto schedule substitute teachers; input and maintain substitute teacher activity for processing substitute teacher payroll
• Communicate with teachers, substitute teachers, and administrative and school office personnel on the substitute teachers working each day
• Email monthly substitute newsletter with updates, reminders, and important information
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as directed by Human Resources
• Demonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with colleagues and others
