Seeking a Part‑time Instructor for a growing Private Career School, offered under an independent contractor agreement.
Instructional Days are Tuesdays, from 1:00 PM‑4:45 PM.

Salary: $880 per term (three terms per year, varies by course)
Schedule:
1:00 PM – 4:45 PM on Tuesdays; hours per week paid for course preparation, office hours, and grading.

Job Responsibilities- Instruct students in person, up to three terms per year between September and July.
- Prepare class materials and exercises around approved curriculum to ensure student achievement of learning objectives as well as student engagement and satisfaction.
- Teach and lead each designated course session, providing guidance and assistance to students on all projects and assignments.
- Measure and grade student comprehension of all projects and assignments against learning objectives, using progress reports.
- Maintain and improve all current curriculum content, presentation and instructional materials based on collaboration with the Executive Director and as measured by student performance, feedback and direct observation.
- Administer and grade tests and quizzes and provide leadership, feedback and critique on student final project presentations.
- Work with the Executive Director to help ensure teaching strategies meet overall learning and business objectives.
- Stay current in relevant subject matter through professional development, involvement in professional organizations, and attending professional meetings, conferences, workshops.
- Learn and use technology to enhance teaching and educational experience when appropriate.
- Must be eligible to be approved as an instructor by Texas Workforce Commission.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles with experienced application.
- Excellent verbal communication and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to organize and communicate with a high attention to detail.
- Substantial working knowledge of assigned subject matter and willingness to learn what is not familiar.
- Combined residential and commercial interior design experience.
- Subject matter expert on assigned subject to be taught.
