We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the NLG Capital team. This exciting opportunity provides hands‑on experience at the intersection of insurance and asset management, contributing to innovative investment strategies that support one of the fastest‑growing insurance platforms in the country. The Associate will assist in identifying new investment opportunities, performing manager diligence, supporting transaction execution, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
The role offers exposure to strategic partnerships, investment structuring, and the insurance ecosystem while focusing on learning, development, and high‑impact contribution. This position is onsite, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday core days.
- Assist in researching new asset classes, private markets trends, and income‑generating strategies relevant to insurance portfolios.
- Support early‑stage screening and mapping of managers, platforms, and capital solutions within private credit, real estate, and structured finance.
- Participate in the diligence and evaluation of external managers, funds, and strategies.
- Help prepare investment memos, peer comparisons, and risk assessments for internal review.
- Coordinate with senior team members on underwriting models and qualitative assessments.
- Contribute to the development of pitch materials and internal presentations for investment recommendations.
- Support cross‑functional deal execution activities, collaborating with legal, accounting, and operations to ensure smooth onboarding and funding.
- Help track performance, exposures, and key developments across third‑party investment relationships.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of monitoring frameworks and internal reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private markets, financial services consulting, or institutional asset management.
- Strong interest in insurance investing, private markets, and strategic partnerships.
- Experience preparing investment materials and conducting financial analysis.

The base pay range for this position is $47,250 - $69,300 USD, based on experience and other factors.
