INSPYR Solutions (formerly BGSF) is seeking to hire a key member of the Accounting leadership team for a highly stable Retail client in the Addison, TX area. The Assistant Controller will oversee the monthly close process, lead accounting operations, and manage complex and technical accounting matters.

• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a high-quality close across multiple business units.
• Review balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses and high/moderate-risk reconciliations.
• Prepare and review complex accounting estimates (e.g., inventory provisions, bad debt reserves, accrual estimates).
• Oversee the preparation and review of the statement of cash flows and schedules provided to the Financial Reporting team.
• Manage and review areas such as lease accounting (ASC 842), equity-based compensation, derivatives, and interest expense/accruals.
• Review high-dollar journal entries and lead or assist in recording critical entries.
• Analyze and respond to inquiries regarding cost or budget variances.
• Lead the annual goodwill impairment test (ASC 350) in collaboration with valuation specialists and auditors.
• Support acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integration activities as needed.

• Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a large, growth-oriented organization, publicly traded company, and/or public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or Master’s in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
