Patient Service Specialist - Medical Front Office

Hours: Vary Monday‑Friday 7am‑7pm (PRN as needed – float).
Rate: $21.00 per hour PRN.

Coverage Areas: Addison, Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Coppell, Plano, Richardson. Candidate will be required to travel to multiple outpatient clinics.

• Coordinate patient appointments with the Center manager to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence.
• Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Verify patient insurance, obtain required authorizations before visit, and explain benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies.
• Collect payments toward patient responsibility at each visit.
• Scan and maintain medical documents.
• Reconcile and post charges daily and perform other reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
• Respond to all requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians.
• Maintain the office, order supplies, and manage mail.
• Show willingness to adjust schedule to center needs.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and in‑service education programs.
• Travel to non‑home location center or other site for coverage when necessary.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Customer service experience.
• Knowledge of insurance verification.
• Healthcare, medical, or dental office administration.
