Software Engineer, Hybrid, AI Infrastructure Job Summary

Systems Development Engineering (SDE) at Google is a role where you manage services and systems s creatively put their engineering discipline to use automating the mundane and reducing toil. We don’t just write code to fix bugs, but emphasize the development of tools and solutions that fix classes of problems. We empower our customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity. This team is building the future of large‑scale computing by delivering a groundbreaking, on‑premises AI supercomputer— the next evolution of Google’s AI accelerators hardware.

Minimum

qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with systems automation, systems design and implementation.
  • 3 years of experience with technical infrastructure (e.g., deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting).
Preferred qualifications
  • 3 years of experience working with vendors or customers.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute significantly to the strategic goal for the Hybrid and on‑prem Infrastructure business by assisting in defining and delivering architecture and roadmap initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product and go‑to‑market leaders to implement strategies for our migrate, modernize, and workload efforts.
  • Work with peer engineers and managers within Google teams and external partners to influence product and team direction.
  • Partner with internal cross‑functional organizations and external vendors and partners.
  • Contribute to customer advocacy by understanding user needs and helping to deliver solutions that delight and empower users.
