Service Now is an innovative technology company dedicated to optimizing workforce and customer experience. This role focuses on advising clients on Service Now's IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions across life science, healthcare provider and payer industries.
What You Get to Do In This RoleThe ITAM Solution Consultant is a technical consultant with the advanced ability to develop, position and provide product‑specific solutions during sales cycles that help achieve sales goals for an assigned territory.
Responsibilities- Serve as a thought leader on IT Asset Management (hardware, software, cloud cost) and Enterprise Asset Management for Service Now.
- Develop and maintain strong alignment with Product Management and Engineering to advocate for product enhancements, roadmap additions and relay feedback from the field and customers.
- Create and own programs that enable and train Solution Consultants and Sellers to demonstrate the value of ITAM and EAM.
- Create and own efforts to generate and mature ITAM and EAM pipeline for customers (e.g., webinars, events, workshops).
- Contribute to and maintain a showcase of ITAM solutions created on the Service Now platform.
- Assist the sales personnel in qualification of customer needs (discovery) and creation of business cases (i.e., business value assessments).
- Demonstrate solutions – both standard and tailored – to secure the technical win.
- Respond to requests for information and proposal (RFIs, RFPs) in a fashion that successfully secures the technical win.
- Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with prospects, as appropriate.
- Support Marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars, summits, practitioner workshops.
- Stay current on competitive analysis and understand how to best position the Service Now solution to ensure we stay ahead of opportunities, obstacles and challenges.
- Understand business and technical problems addressed by the product, including key regulations, business drivers and evolving business needs.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience, 5 of which must be technical, hands‑on experience with the Service Now ITAM product suite or key competitor software & hardware asset management products.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical and business concepts associated with optimizing and streamlining costs.
- Ability to forge strong business relationships and connect with personnel from staff through C‑level at customer accounts as well as within the Service Now ecosystem.
- Strong presales experience and mastery of the sales process OR strong Service Now implementation experience (implementation partner, vendor or customer).
- Experience working with or in healthcare payer, provider or life science organizations.
- Located in Eastern or Central time zones, with willingness to support occasional customer interactions in the Pacific, India Standard and Central European time zones.
For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $126,375 to $208,425 plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. The compensation is based on geographic location and is subject to change.
