We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on IT Director who can both define and execute IT strategy while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day technical work. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who enjoys leading a small team, making technology decisions at a business level, and rolling up their sleeves to support the organization directly.
This position will report to and work closely with the SVP of Data & IT, partnering to align IT infrastructure, security, and operations with broader data, systems, and business initiatives.
The role will manage and mentor a team of two IT Support Specialists, oversee IT operations company‑wide, and serve as the primary owner of IT strategy, risk management, budgeting, vendor relationships, and system performance. The ideal candidate balances long‑term planning with tactical execution and thrives in a growing, fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Define, execute, and continuously improve the company’s IT strategy in partnership with the SVP of Data & Information, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and growth plans
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of two IT Support Specialists by setting priorities, monitoring workloads, ensuring high performance, and promoting cross‑training and skill development
- Develop, review, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices while maintaining comprehensive IT documentation and a centralized knowledge base
- Oversee IT helpdesk operations, ensuring timely resolution and strong end‑user experience, while serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and providing hands‑on support as needed (in person, remote, and phone)
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware set up, account creation, and access controls
- Manage IT asset inventory, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and related equipment, ensuring accurate tracking, lifecycle management and replacement
- Ensure a stable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, endpoints, and cloud environments
- Own IT risk management by ensuring systems meet security, compliance, and performance standards, including oversight of cybersecurity tools, vulnerability management, audits, access controls, firewalls, firmware updates, endpoint security, and Microsoft 365 security configurations
- Own IT budget management, including forecasting, cost control, and spend optimization
- Review, approve, and reconcile IT invoices while ensuring cost‑effective technology decisions
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and licensing
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency, security, and scalability
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar
- 4+ years of relevant IT experience, including 3+ years in a people‑management or leadership role
