Job Description
Looking to hire for the Business Development position - set appointments for outside sales reps (Sr Consultants), close smaller deals. Build a pipeline of potential customers and track in Salesforce. This position can be very profitable for someone willing to invest the 2-3 year ramp up, but pays a solid base ($40k-52k DOE) and offers various incentives for quicker earnings over and above the base.
Two solid weeks of training provided initially, and a framework for making calls (ie, not a memorized script). Generally calling on Controllers, CFOs, etc., those who would be most interested in the service and understand the impact of reduced energy contracts. The BDR would be accountable for 65 or more outbound calls daily from qualified leads provided by research staff, securing qualified appointments for the senior consultants, learning and relaying our value proposition and consistently booking a minimum of 3 qualified appointments each week, in addition to tracking activities in Sales Force.
