Fullstack rust developer

Location: Addison, TX (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

Salary Range: $120,000 - $355,000 + equity + comprehensive benefits

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join Tanium's agile development team, where you'll build and maintain best-of-breed products that impact global enterprise security. This full-stack role emphasizes strong backend programming skills while offering opportunities to work across our entire technology stack.

You’ll be part of a team that takes new product ideas from concept to deployment, working closely with product management and customers to ensure we're building solutions that truly meet market needs from the ground up.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Tanium's products using Golang and Node.js
• Build common components like data services that unify endpoint data across our ecosystem
• Work with time series data to power dashboarding and reporting features
• Develop Graph
  
  QL APIs that enable external partners (like Salesforce) to integrate seamlessly
• Create higher-level services that power everything from security to operations to auditing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering
• Experience building high-performance, scalable, and maintainable backend services and APIs
• Proficiency in Golang (preferred), Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Rust
• Strong experience with HTTP API design and development
• Experience with modern development tools like Git and Jenkins

• Excellent judgment balancing rapid development with long-term code maintainability
• Strong belief in automated testing as part of the development process
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues under pressure
• Versatility to learn new tools and frameworks quickly
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (CS degree preferred)

• Must work from our Addison, TX office minimum 3 days per week
• U.S. citizenship, nationality, or residency required for government contracts
