We are seeking a SEMH Outreach Practitioner to join our team at Bourne Education Trust.

Details

Position: SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Outreach Practitioner

Location: Based at Bourne Education Trust’s central office located in Jubilee High School, Addlestone however, frequent travel to schools across all regions will be required

Contract: Term time plus two weeks, permanent (36 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum)

Key responsibilities include:
  • To provide Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) outreach across all Trust schools
  • To work directly with staff to support the implementation of effective SEMH interventions
  • To provide guidance on appropriate resources, programmes and approaches to support pupils with SEMH needs
Requirements include:
  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of pupils
  • Experience of working with children and young people with SEMH needs
  • Experience of working within or supporting specialist provision in mainstream settings or specialist schools
  • Qualified Teacher Status or relevant professional qualification in SEND/inclusion (we will also consider applications from experienced HLTAs)
