Pay: £101.40 - £115.00 day rate.

Purpose of the Role
To support the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), working with teachers, parents and other staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The role involves supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum and make progress towards their individual targets.
Key Performance Measures
Support pupils to make progress towards their learning targets.
Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Main Duties
Work with teachers and other staff to support pupils with SEN in the classroom.
Assist teachers in identifying and responding to the needs of individual pupils.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access learning.
Observe, monitor and record pupil progress and report back to teachers.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of learning activities planned by the teacher.
Assist in preparing teaching materials and classroom displays.
Support the inclusion of pupils with physical, learning, communication or behavioural needs.
Assist with behaviour management within and outside the classroom.
Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Provide support for pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL), speech and language difficulties or behavioural needs that affect learning.
Encourage pupils’ social development and participation in school activities outside the classroom.
Follow the school’s safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
