Duration
: 1.5 years - will convert to FTE if goes well

Schedule
: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day ~Up to 50 hours per week~

Pay Rate
: $50 - $60 per hour

Per Diem
: $100 per day (only paid for each day worked up to 6 days per week)

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience
  • OSHA 510/500
  • Team leadership experience (even if just 1 or 2 people)
  • OSHA 30
  • CPR AED
  • Construction if no direct energy industry experience

Nice to Have:

  • CHST from Board of Certified Safety Professionals
  • Solar PV specifically
  • Bilingual (if above $52 per hour this is required)

Job Description

This will be with the standard PV Solar Panel Installation crew - extremely large solar fields with multiple craftsmen specialties.

Day to Day Responsibilities

As a Safety Manager on our client s renewable energy projects, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the health and safety of all personnel on-site. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Leading morning safety briefings and conducting toolbox talks
  • Overseeing and mentoring site safety technicians and EMTs
  • Coordinating with project management to align safety protocols with construction schedules
  • Performing site-wide hazard assessments and ensuring compliance with OSHA and corporate standards
  • Investigating and documenting incidents or near misses, and implementing corrective actions
  • Managing safety documentation, training logs, and certifications
  • Facilitating ongoing safety training and refreshers for field personnel
  • Communicating with client representatives and third-party inspectors as needed
  • Participating in daily planning meetings to integrate safety into project execution

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, along with a proactive approach to risk prevention in a high-output, fast-paced environment.
