The position involves teaching science to grades 9-12 with a focus on chemistry. An ideal candidate will have significant IB Chemistry HL/SL and/or AP Chemistry experience. Experience teaching Physics is an advantage. The teacher will collaborate with a team of dynamic, professional Science teachers to plan, deliver, and assess concept-based and student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. A Science teacher at ZIS will hold high expectations for students and will differentiate content and instruction as needed.

• Plan, deliver, and assess concept-based, student-centered science instruction for grades 9-12 with emphasis on Chemistry.
• Differentiate content and instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with a team of science teachers to develop and implement a cohesive program.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflect on practice to support student learning and curiosity.
• Integrate technology into the curriculum.
• Foster a positive learning environment with strong relationship building with students and colleagues.

• Teaching license including specialism
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Chemistry; international school experience preferred
• Experience with IB Chemistry HL/SL and/or AP Chemistry
• Experience teaching Physics is an advantage
• BA / BSc or equivalent university degree;
  Master degree preferred
• Integration of technology into curriculum
• Learner-centered approach and understanding of concept-based curriculum and instruction
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

• English:
  Very good oral and written proficiency
