Nursing Shift Supervisor

? If so, the Adrian Dominican Sisters are looking to add a strong and knowledgeable leader to our amazing Nursing team. We are looking for a 3rd shift Full Time Shift Supervisor for our nursing department.

Who we are:

We are a team of caregivers and nursing support staff who provide an enriching and compassionate environment to the Adrian Dominican Sisters in their home at the Dominican Life Center,
our nursing/retirement home environment on the Adrian Dominican Sisters Mother house campus. At The Dominican Life Center
, our continuum of care facility, we provide long term care to Sisters who are in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing communities. We employ over 300 people who take great pride and joy in working for and with the Sisters to provide them with exceptional care in their retirement.

38.89/hr. plus 1.50/hr. shift premium to start with incentives, overtime after 8 hours a day.

3rd shift, Monday – Friday, 11pm – 7:30am, 64-80 hours per two week pay period. Every Other Weekend & Holidays hours are 12 hour shifts (7pm – 7:30am).

The Nursing Shift Supervisor performs professional supervisory nursing practice in the care of the Sisters residing on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters. The position is responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice, for coordinating nursing and training programs, for recognizing and assisting in solving professional, administrative and supervisory problems in an assigned area. Position exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving nursing problems within established policies and practices.

The position has the responsibility on the assigned shift to promote quality care by monitoring the nursing care of residents and supervising nursing co-workers.

• Make contact with all nurses on duty.
• Provide feedback regarding implementation of care plans as requested.
• Respond to community nurse's requests for assistance in assessing and evaluating resident's medical status.
