Concrete Project Coordinator

Compensation: $50,000–$65,000
- Depending on Experience

Vee-Jay Cement Contracting is looking for a Concrete Project Coordinator to work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, keeping critical submittals, project documentation, materials information, and communication accurate and on schedule.

This is an onsite, hourly role in a fast-paced construction environment, with some flexibility around start and end times

• Prepare, distribute, track, and maintain construction submittals and project documentation
• Review estimator takeoffs, proposals, contracts, and project scope
• Identify project material requirements and prepare submittals for general contractors and owners
• Review concrete mix designs and provide technical support to Project Managers
• Read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
• Communicate product approvals and architect/engineer submittal comments to Project Managers and Superintendents
• Maintain accurate project records, including LEED documentation, warranties, closeout records, purchase orders, and invoices
• Support departmental process improvements and cross-train on related responsibilities as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  some college coursework preferred
• At least 1 year of construction-related experience with concrete construction knowledge or experience
• Experience with or a strong understanding of construction submittals and project documentation
• Familiarity with concrete mix designs
• Understanding of construction project management processes, including materials, contracts, project scope, and takeoffs
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks, work independently, and collaborate with a team
• AutoCAD experience preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with Viewpoint or similar construction software preferred, but not required
• Ability to work onsite in Affton, Missouri
